Your questions, answered
Everything you need to know before you come and see August: Osage County in Matlock.
When and where is August: Osage County?
Wednesday 25 to Saturday 28 November 2026 at the Imperial Rooms, Imperial Road, Matlock. Evening shows start at 7.30pm and there is a Saturday matinee. Full times are on the tickets page.
How much are tickets, and are there under-18 tickets?
Adults are £13 and under 18s are £5. Just pick the under-18 ticket type when you book on TicketSource. We also offer Pay What You Want tickets, so nobody misses out.
Is the play suitable for young people?
It is a powerful family drama that deals with addiction, domestic violence and suicide, with strong language. We recommend it for older teenagers and adults. If you are unsure, email us and we will happily talk it through.
What is the seating like?
The Imperial Rooms is an intimate venue with around 80 seats for evening shows and 60 for the Saturday matinee, so every seat is close to the action. The venue is step free. If you have access needs or would like help with seating, contact us before the show.
What time does it finish, and how do I get home?
Evening shows finish at about 10.30pm. Matlock railway and bus stations are about five minutes' walk away, but late services are limited, so please check the last train or bus before you set off. The pay and display car park across the road has a two-hour limit, so check the signs. Arranging a lift or a taxi in advance is a good idea. More on the venue page.
Who do I ask about anything else?
