Love
& Lust.
An informal evening of romance and reminiscence, songs and spoken word, comedy and pathos, laughter and poignancy.
Devised & produced by Liz McKenzie
Twenty-two years after the original An Entertaining Evening of Love & Lustplayed to packed houses in Matlock, and fifteen years after its bawdier sequel, Luvvier & Lustier, the Players returned to a format that audiences had asked for, again and again.
LOVE & LUST was a tasting menu of theatre: a tightly choreographed evening of songs, sonnets, monologues, sketches and stand-alone scenes, threaded together with the wit and warmth of director Liz McKenzie.
The July performances brought songs and spoken word, laughter and poignancy to Matlock and Youlgrave. Live musical accompaniment throughout the evening was provided by Chris Flint.
"An informal and entertaining evening of romance and reminiscence, for a new audience in 2026."
